Our classes will teach your child the foundations of dance technique, and give them a new medium for self expression. We use the traditional ballet steps and terminology to unlock the magic and beauty of classical stories and tales. Students will learn about classic works including Swan Lake, Firebird, and Giselle, as well as modern day pieces like Rubies and Serenade.
Ballet allows students to gain greater control of both their body and mind, by connecting the two through discipline and movement. Students who study dance go on to have a greater appreciation for all arts in general, a larger respect for their bodies, and a new lense of beauty through which to view their surrounding world.

Lauren is a dancer and teacher originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. She moved to New York City to continue her dance training at The Ailey School and attend Fordham University where she received her BFA in Dance. She attended Hubbard Street’s Summer Intensive where she loved working closely with the company’s artists on restaged and original choreography. Her modern dance idol is Connie Shiau whom she’s worked with multiple times including on a solo for her senior year performance.
Her favorite credit was working as a project dancer with Ballet Unleashed on a dance film. The film, Inklings, was choreographed and directed by Loughlan Prior, the choreographer in residence at the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Lauren was honored to be the introductory soloist in the film. Inklings has been featured at many international dance festivals and most notably winning Best Dance Film at Filmhaus Berlin.
Anna Kriofske is a dancer located in New York City. She grew up dancing in
Winston-Salem, NC before moving to Northampton, Massachusetts to attend the CLI
Conservatory in 2022. At CLI, Anna trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, heels,
tap, partnering, and improvisation under director Teddy Forance, as well as adjunct
teachers and choreographers. In CLI’s final show, Anna performed works choreographed
by Ethan Colangelo, Jay Mills, Teddy Forance, Shannon Lewis, Jakevis Thomason, and
Andrew Winghart. In summer of 2021, Anna spent a week at the SoulEscape Company’s
summer event and in 2022, attended their professional intensive where she trained for
three weeks under director Justin Giles and performed with the company. She has been
teaching and choreographing for the past four years, receiving recognition for her
choreography in competitions. Anna is passionate about spreading joy through dance and
giving students space to express themselves and have fun!
Fun fact- Miss Elly and Miss Anna trained at the same dance school growing up!
